Arches National Park - Hiking
Arches National Park has an abundant hiking system ranging in length and difficulty. These hiking trails provide access to many of the parks famous features, including balance rock, delicate arch and landscape arch. Often times the trails will travel right under the arches, giving you a perspective that you would not gain from a vehicle. The Fiery Furnace contains narrow winding sandstone canyons and fins. There are no marked trails and hikers who want to explore Fiery Furnace must obtain a permit at the visitor center. A short minimum impact video must also be watched.
The hike takes 2.5 to 3 hours and is moderately strenuous, requiring some scrambling through narrow cracks and along narrow ledges.
